MARTIN:

James Martin
, born 18 Jul 1759 County Down, Ireland, died 11 Feb 1842. He came to NB in 1783 as a Loyalist and married, 15 Apr 1787, Prudence Wickwire, born 16 Nov 1764 Cornwallis, NS, the daughter of Peter and Rhoda (Schofield) Wickwire. She died 9 Aug 1851. The family settled in Hopewell Cape, Albert County.
