Joseph Nickerson, born c1811 NB, died 27 Sep 1849. He married, 19 Aug 1841, Mary Ann McGee who had come from Irelandin Apr 1840. The family resided at Gondola Point, Rothesay Parish, Kings County.

1) Sarah Jane Nickerson b. 1843, d. 1904: she took the surname Cronk and m. 4 Aug 1864 Richard Murphy b. 1841, d. 1909
2) William John Nickerson b. 1845, d. 2 Jun 1925. He took the surname Cronk and married Sarah Agnes Whelpley b. 13 Aug 1851 d/o Henry and Hannah Elizabeth Dempsey (Whelpley) Whelpley, died 1 Nov 1938
3) Joseph James Nickerson born 1848, d. 27 Oct 1886: he retained the surname Nickerson.

Following Joseph’s death in 1849 his widow Mary Ann married,(2nd), Neil O’Neil.

Mary Ann then married (3rd), 29 Mar 1860, Stephen Benjamin Cronk.
