THOMPSON:
Cornelius Thompson, born 9 Apr 1756 near Freehold, Monmouth County, NJ, was the son of Thomas Thompson. He came to NB in 1783 as a Loyalist. He returned to NJ and was married, 15 May 1785, to Rebecca – , and brought her to NB. They first settled at Kingsclear, York County but moved to Ontario in 1807.

6) Cornelius Thompson b. 17 Feb 1797, d. near Niagara, ON, 4 Jun 1813
7) Sarah Thompson b. 27 Jan 1800, m. and d. in Ontario.


PANB:MC80 #771 A little study in Loyalist genealogy: Tomsons of Perthshire by Ernest Green. Cornelius Thompson had a brother, Lewis Thompson, b. 1754 who also came to NB in 1783 with his family as Loyalists, but soon returned to Freehold, NJ.
 
 


James Almond Thompson was born 1789, and died after 1851. He married (1st) – . They came from Ireland to NB in 1821 and settled at Fairhaven, Deer Island, West Isles Parish, Charlotte County.

John Thompson was born in Ireland and married Mary (Toler) Grace. He came to NB and settled at Upper Sackville, Westmorland County. Their son, Toler Thompson, born c1780, died 23 Jun 1846, married Alice Charters, settled in Upper Sackville and had four sons and four daughters.
